App activation: how it works and what it costs
HOT Player on Windows in five minutes
1. Open the Microsoft Store and search for Hot Player
Click Get; it installs like any Store app, no admin rights needed. Windows 10 or 11.
2. Open the app and note the code on the screen
The first screen shows a MAC address or device key. That code identifies your PC; you never type in server details yourself.
3. Send us the code
WhatsApp, Telegram or e-mail, with the word Windows. We load your playlist on that code, usually within minutes.
4. Restart the app and watch
Close and reopen HOT Player; the channel list and guide appear. Full screen with F11 or the button in the corner; the arrow keys change channels.
IBO Player instead?
Same four steps. Download the Windows installer from iboplayer.com or the Store version, open it, send us the device ID and key on the first screen. Both apps also run on your Samsung, LG, Android or Fire TV, so you can keep one app everywhere.

Without an app: VLC and the M3U link
If you only want to check something quickly or the PC is old, VLC is enough: Media, Open Network Stream, paste the M3U link from our message, Play. The playlist window (Ctrl+L) lists every channel; there is no guide and zapping is slower, but it works on any Windows since 7 and on a Mac. From laptop to TV, or better: a box
An HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV works for an evening; set Windows to Duplicate or Second screen only with Windows+P, and full screen the app. For daily viewing a €50–230 box is more comfortable: a remote instead of a mouse, instant start, and the same HOT or IBO login. Questions about IPTV on a PC
Does it work on a Mac?
VLC with the M3U link works the same way on macOS. HOT Player has an iPhone and iPad app but no Mac app. Tell us you are on a Mac and we send the link that fits.
Can I watch on the PC and the TV with one subscription?
You can install the app on both. A Personal plan plays on one screen at a time; the Family plans play on 2 to 5 screens at once.
The stream stutters on my laptop
Nine times out of ten it is the Wi-Fi: move closer to the router or use a cable, and close downloads and cloud sync while you watch. On a laptop from before 2015, choose MyIPTV Player or VLC; they need less power than the full apps.
Can I record on a PC?
Kodi records through its TV section, and VLC can save a stream with the red record button (View, Advanced controls). HOT Player and IBO Player are built for watching, not recording.
