Open Smart IPTV on your TV and write down the TV MAC address on the start screen. On your phone or computer, open siptv.app/mylist, type that MAC address in the ID field, paste your Smootv M3U link in the URL field and press Send. Restart the app and your channel list loads. Smart IPTV works free for 7 days; after that SIPTV asks for a one-time fee of €5.49 per TV or device.
What You Need
- The Smart IPTV (SIPTV) app installed on your TV or device
- Your Smootv M3U link (it is in the message we sent you with your trial or subscription)
- A phone or computer to open the SIPTV website
Good to know
Smart IPTV is only a player. Its activation page says in capital letters that no channels are provided and that you have to add your own. The €5.49 goes to SIPTV for the app, your subscription goes to Smootv for the channels.
Step 1: Note the MAC Address on Your TV
Open Smart IPTV. Next to a list of example channels, the start screen shows a box with your TV MAC address: six pairs of letters and numbers separated by colons. Write it down or take a photo.
The same box tells you that you have 7 days to test the app.

Step 2: Upload Your Playlist at siptv.app
On your phone or computer, open the My List page: siptv.app/mylist
- In ID, type the MAC address from your TV.
- In URL, paste your Smootv M3U link.
- Tick Detect EPG, so that the TV guide is picked up from the playlist.
- Press Send and wait for the success message.
SIPTV advises ticking Save online only if your TV has trouble loading the playlist because of low memory. If the channel list stays empty after a normal upload, send it again with that box ticked.

Step 3: Restart the App and Start Watching
Close Smart IPTV and open it again, or press 0 on the remote for Reload. After a few seconds the example channels make way for your Smootv list. Use Groups at the bottom of the screen to jump between categories, and EPG to see what is on.
Step 4: Activate Smart IPTV Before the Test Period Ends
After the 7 test days you need to activate the app to keep using it. SIPTV charges a one-time fee of €5.49 for each TV or device. SIPTV itself warns you not to pay before your playlist works, because the payment does not fix playlist problems.
Open the activation page: siptv.app/activation
- In MAC / ID, type the MAC address from your TV.
- Choose PayPal, or Debit or Credit Card. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card.
- Prefer a bank transfer, prepaid card or e-wallet? Use the Paymentwall box below it: enter the MAC address and your e-mail address, then press Activate.
- Finish the payment, go back to the TV and restart the app.

Check the MAC address before you pay
The fee is tied to the MAC address you enter, so a typing mistake activates the wrong device. Keep the receipt together with your MAC address.
That is all. The playlist stays linked to your TV, so you only do this once.
If Something Does Not Work
The app still shows the example channels
Restart the app or press 0 for Reload. If nothing changes, upload the playlist again and check that the ID matches the MAC address on the TV exactly and that the M3U link was pasted in full.
The playlist does not load on an older TV
Upload it again with Save online ticked. SIPTV recommends that option for TVs that run out of memory while loading a large list.
The app is still in test mode after paying
Wait 5 to 10 minutes and restart the app. If nothing changes, contact SIPTV support with your receipt and MAC address, because they handle the activation.
The picture buffers or freezes
Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. You need about 25 Mbps for HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. Restarting your router and the app often helps as well.
Smart IPTV Questions
Is Smart IPTV free?
Only for the first 7 days. After that SIPTV asks for a one-time fee of €5.49 for each TV or device.
Does the activation include channels?
No. SIPTV states that no channels are provided with the activation. It only unlocks the player, and your channels come from your Smootv playlist.
Should I activate first or upload my playlist first?
Upload the playlist first and check that everything plays during the 7 test days. SIPTV gives the same advice: do not pay while something is not working, because the payment will not solve it.
I have two TVs. Do I pay twice?
Yes. The fee applies to each TV or device, because each one has its own MAC address.
Can someone else overwrite my playlist?
Anyone who knows your MAC address could upload a list to it. SIPTV therefore suggests locking your MAC/ID in the settings of the app, so that a third party cannot reset your playlist.
Do I have to upload the playlist again when I renew Smootv?
No, as long as your M3U link stays the same. If we send you a new link, upload it once with the same MAC address.
