Open SmartOne IPTV on your TV and note the MAC address, which is shown in the banner at the top and under Settings, ACCOUNTS. On your phone or computer, open the Upload Playlist page of the SmartOne website, choose M3u Playlist, enter that MAC address, a name and your Smootv M3U link, then press Add Playlist. Back on the TV, press Reload. Channels, Movies and Series then fill with your Smootv content. The app runs as a 7-day trial; after that SmartOne asks you to activate it on their website.

Good to know
SmartOne IPTV is only a video player. Its website says so in a notice above the upload form: it offers no channels, subscriptions or content. Its makers are a separate company from Smootv, so the activation of the app is arranged with SmartOne and your subscription with Smootv.
Step 1: Find Your MAC Address in the App
Open SmartOne IPTV on your TV. The banner at the top of the home screen already shows your MAC address, next to the number of trial days you have left. To see it in large type, open Settings from the row of tiles at the bottom.
In Settings, choose ACCOUNTS. The MAC address appears on the right, under Smart Key. Write it down exactly, including the colons, or take a photo of it.
Step 2: Upload Your Playlist on the SmartOne Website
On your phone or computer, open the Upload Playlist page of SmartOne: smartone-iptv.com/plugin/smart_one/main_generate
- In the row of icons, select M3u Playlist.
- In Tv MAC, type the MAC address from your TV, including the colons.
- In Playlist Name, give the list a name. Anything works, for example Smootv.
- In Playlist M3u, paste your Smootv M3U link.
- Press Add Playlist. The fields EPG URL and Note are optional, so you can leave them empty.
Copy and paste the M3U link instead of typing it. One wrong character is enough to leave the app empty.

Step 3: Reload the App and Start Watching
Go back to the TV and press Reload, the last tile on the home screen, or restart the app. Give it a few seconds while the playlist loads. After that, Channels, Movies and Series are filled with your Smootv channels, films and series.
That is all. The playlist stays linked to this MAC address, so you only do this once.
If Something Does Not Work
The app stays empty after the upload
Press Reload first. If it is still empty, upload the playlist again and check two things: the MAC address matches the one on your TV character for character, colons included, and the M3U link was pasted in full.

If that happens, choose Upload Playlist in the menu at the top of the website, or use the direct link in step 2. That is the page with the form shown above.
The website does not accept the MAC address
Type it exactly as the app shows it, with a colon between every pair. The letter O and the number 0 are easy to mix up, and so are the letter B and the number 8.
The picture buffers or freezes
Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. You need about 25 Mbps for HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. Restarting your router and the app often helps as well.
SmartOne IPTV Questions
Is SmartOne IPTV free?
It starts with a trial. The banner in the app says the trial period expires in 7 days. After that the app has to be activated with SmartOne. Their website has an Activation page for that. Activation is handled by SmartOne, not by Smootv, so check that page for the current conditions.
Does the SmartOne activation include channels?
No. SmartOne states on its website that it is a video player and offers no channels, subscriptions or content. Channels, films and series come from your Smootv playlist.
Where do I find my SmartOne MAC address?
In two places: in the banner at the top of the home screen, and under Settings, ACCOUNTS, where it is shown in large type under Smart Key.
Can I use my Xtream Codes login instead of an M3U link?
Yes. The upload page has an Xtream Playlist option next to M3u Playlist. Both ways load the same Smootv content, so use the one you find easier.
Do I have to upload the playlist again when I renew Smootv?
No, as long as your M3U link stays the same. If we send you a new link, upload it once with the same MAC address.
