Open BayTV on your TV and write down the MAC address on the welcome screen. On your phone or computer, go to cms.bayip.tv, enter that MAC address, a playlist name and your Smootv M3U link, tick the robot check and press Send. Back on the TV, press the blue Reload button or restart the app, and your channels, films and series load. BayTV works free for 7 days; after that you buy an activation on the BayTV website.

Good to know
BayTV is only a player. It comes without channels, and its makers are a separate company from Smootv. The activation is paid to BayTV, your subscription to Smootv, and you need both to keep watching after the 7 test days.
Step 1: Note the MAC Address on the Welcome Screen
Open BayTV on your TV. The welcome screen shows a line that starts with MAC, followed by six pairs of letters and numbers. Write it down or take a photo of it, because you need to type it exactly in the next step.
The same screen tells you how many test days you have left and shows the address of the BayTV website.
Step 2: Add Your Playlist at cms.bayip.tv
On your phone or computer, open the BayTV playlist page: cms.bayip.tv
- In the MAC field, type the MAC address from your TV.
- In Playlist Name, type any name you like, for example Smootv.
- In M3U Playlist, paste your Smootv M3U link.
- Tick the robot check and press Send.
Copy and paste the M3U link instead of typing it. One wrong character is enough to leave the app empty.

Step 3: Reload the App and Start Watching
Go back to the TV and press the blue button on your remote for Reload, or close BayTV and open it again. Give the playlist a few seconds to load. The home screen then opens with Live TV, films and series from Smootv, plus a settings tile.
Step 4: Activate BayTV Before the Test Period Ends
After the 7 test days you have to activate the app to keep using it. BayTV sells two options in its shop: a 1-year activation and a lifetime activation. When we took our screenshots they cost €5 and €10, and the lifetime option was sold out. BayTV sets these prices, so check the shop for the current ones.
Keep BayTV open on your TV and open the activation page: cms.bayip.tv/packages
- Pick the 1-year or the lifetime activation and press Add to cart.
- Open the cart icon at the top right and check that your activation is in it.
- Press Checkout and complete the payment.
- Go back to the TV and press Reload or restart the app. The test notice disappears within a few seconds.
Keep your receipt
An activation counts for one device and usually cannot be moved to another one. Keep the order receipt and the e-mail address you used at checkout, in case you need BayTV support later.
That is all. Your playlist stays linked to this TV, so you only add it once.
If Something Does Not Work
The app stays empty after you press Send
Press Reload or restart the app first. If it is still empty, add the playlist again and check two things: the MAC address matches the one on your TV character for character, and the M3U link was pasted in full.
You want to replace the playlist on a TV
The same page on cms.bayip.tv has a Reset my playlist box. Enter your MAC address there, press Reset, and then add the new link as in step 2.
The app still shows the test notice after paying
Wait 5 to 10 minutes and restart the app. If nothing changes, contact BayTV support with your receipt and MAC address, because they handle the activation.
The picture buffers or freezes
Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. You need about 25 Mbps for HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. Restarting your router and the app often helps as well.
BayTV Questions
Is BayTV free?
Only for the first 7 days. After that you need a paid activation from the BayTV shop, for 1 year or for life. BayTV sets the prices and they can change.
Does the activation include channels?
No. The activation only unlocks the player. Channels, films and series come from your Smootv playlist.
Where do I find my BayTV MAC address?
On the welcome screen that appears when you open the app, on the line that starts with MAC.
I have two TVs. Do I need two activations?
Yes. An activation is tied to one device, so every TV needs its own. You also add the playlist once per TV, each with its own MAC address.
Can I add more than one playlist?
Yes. The form on cms.bayip.tv has an Add More Playlist button next to the M3U field. For Smootv you only need one.
Do I have to add the playlist again when I renew Smootv?
No, as long as your M3U link stays the same. If we send you a new link, reset the old playlist and add the new one with the same MAC address.
